About the Firm

Putting Your Needs First

Whether you are going through the collaborative divorce process or involved in a child custody dispute, you need to be well-informed at every stage of the process. As an experienced family law attorney can help you understand the legal nuances of your case, so we can come up with a plan tailored to your needs.

I am family lawyer Donald Fraker, and from my office in Mequon I can help you through the entire divorce process. From custody and visitation, to maintenance and property division, I will make sure you have the answers you need to make well-informed decisions for your future.

With over thirty years of legal experience, my practice has been focused on divorce and family law for over twenty-five years. However, my experience in other areas of the law allows me to draw up strategies that help my clients tackle a wide range of issues involved with their family law concerns. Working in Ozaukee County for over twenty years now, I am also familiar with the local courts and legal system.

Located in Mequon, my office is easily accessible to clients across southeast Wisconsin. Providing a welcoming atmosphere, I make sure my clients know they are in a place where they can discuss their concerns in confidence with an attorney who will listen.

When you first contact my office about your divorce, we will meet for about an hour and discuss the divorce process from beginning to end. From procedures to how much time you might spend in court, I will make sure you know what to expect.

I will also look at your individual concerns, so we can map out a plan to resolve them. Since each county in Wisconsin has its own procedures, I will make sure you properly consider your options.

Special Note on Divorce in Milwaukee County

When you file for divorce in Milwaukee County, you will receive a dismissal date. If you do not respond to the court properly by the dismissal date, your divorce will be thrown out and you will have to start the process all over again. As your attorney, I will make sure you meet all deadlines.
